Memories of Tintern - The 1950s

Anchor inn 1953

I thought you may be interested in this drawing of the Anchor Inn drawn in 1953 by my father Alan Roulstone.
He lived for some weeks in Tintern in 1952 before moving across the Wye to Brockweir. Not only was the first of his books "A Pub-Crawler's Companion: the Wye Valley", hatched in the Moon & Sixpence, but while living in the vicinity he contrived to sell drawings to a large number of local publicans; and when back in the area in 1964 he did so again.
